Authentic, City, Smile

Amongst the crowded streets A girl stands alone With what appears to be... An authentic city smile.

I can't help but move towards her I am afraid to even look away I believe she has to be an illusion and if I blink she might disappear.

Standing in the middle of a crowded block this girl with the authentic city smile seems to have an aura surrounding her, a peaceful aura, one I must experience for myself.

Upon approaching her she holds out her hand I feel the loss of control as I reach for her hand A connection so powerful engulfs us

The crowded street melts away The commotion silences It is just us alone watching each other

I step forward and try to speak But I am betrayed by my own voice All that is to be heard is the thumping and swishing of our hearts and breath...

Her voice echoed in my head, "My name is Humanity," "Humanity," I say back in wonder. She nods her head.

She points toward me: "You are the Spirit that I seek," "What do you mean?" I say back to her.

"Daniel, you hold the faith that can rescue me" I step toward Humanity, "You know my name?" "Of course, I am the one that called you"

"But why? How can I help you?" This person that goes by the name, Humanity, Starts to glow brighter I find myself needing to be closer...

"You are the one that Destruction follows." Humanity is right... destruction does follow me... "How do I stop Destruction?" "You don't...You welcome it."

I, welcome Destruction? No, she must be wrong. I, welcome love. Destruction does not welcome love...

II: Creative, Create, Active (Joe S.'s choices)

Humanity has disappeared An active crowd now surrounds me I start to create reasoning For what I just experienced.

Did I travel in-between time? Was Humanity truly talking to me? I must have fallen asleep, surrounded by people on this crowded street...

A panicked feeling surfaces. I must clear the worry. Creative reasoning must exist...Right? I just need to open my mind...

Humanity said: Destruction follows me... Humanity says: I must welcome Destruction... How do I welcome Destruction? The same as I welcome love?

I welcome it... Of course! You can not stop Destruction, I must embrace it...

I welcome Destruction, Humanity. I understand now. Destruction is inevitable, yet, love is stronger!

Walking these city streets, Watching everyone rush around, My heart calls out, I now see what must be done.

Living life in a rush of colors, Swirls of moments blending, Time escaping too fast, Experiences being left behind.

This is how we live. This is how we love. This is how we see. This is how we lose hope.

This is Destruction... I am here to slow it down. Humanity called to me. I am here to answer.

First, we must except the truth. Second, we must want to change. Third, we must hold on to faith. Then we must learn to love slowly.

I will hold faith for all I help For they will follow, Then those people will lead. Slowly we will help Humanity.

Let these words fly through the sky Faith is what it takes, for this Nation to slow down! Let everyone realize what is.

How will we survive without all this? The same way we used to survive, face to face communication. Knowledge that is passed down generations.

You might ask: Are you that naive? My answer... No, we can never go back completely.

But we have a small window to never forget. We still have a chance to listen, to learn what our parents know, what they once learned.

Humanity called. I chose to listen, and now I have faith... You will listen too.
